FYI, these engines are designed to be oil extracted from the top. This super convenient as there is no jacking required. Also the drain plugs are 1 time use only. And if your car is in warranty make sure it has the correct vw spec, on mk 8’s I believe it’s vw508. And properly document your fluid and oil changes.

why are the wires pre set to make you snake twice? seems like it'd be way easier to snake the wires in the same direction at the same time.

Fantastic video. Always a good idea to run some clean engine oil through the engine once the dirty oil has stopped dripping out. When the oil finishes running clean, then put the sump plug back in.

Anyone I’ve ever talked to said do not use the latch system if you’re doing middle seat. Latch is designed for behind passenger or driver. Alway use the seatbelt for middle seat.

Why not just ziptie it on the grill? Or even just do large washer and nuts through the holes?

Couple things, 1-you used an excessive amount of loctite on those threads! 2-you really need to invest in a deep socket set... 3-your new struts upside down. They'll collect dust and have a higher potential of scoring the polished shaft. Love this mod. Had it on my Mk5 and want to do the ECS kit on my R.

11:49 I just done this on my mk5 gti, the rubber boot connecting to the body of the car has broken now I need to snip all the wires and for a new one so water don’t get into my car, nightmare

Awesome mod. Didn't know such thing existed. My emblem makes a light plasticky squeak sound when you go to lift with it. Dont like it at all but this just might be the solution.

I would recommend not wetting the car before a foam wash, the foam is designed to loosen all the grime/grit etc which when the paint work is wet, it doesn’t have the best results. This needs time to dwell then should be rinsed as you drag the grime/grit around with you when washing. Then hit it with the two bucket method or even another foam then wash. Also for best results I’d recommend a iron out/fall out remover which should be applied to the car after you have foamed/rinsed/shampoo then fallout. Allow to sit for 2/3 minutes then rinse and dry. Keep up the good work :)

Clean you car. Drive it a few hours . Then looks like shit again.

Hey! Cool video. I think the weak light has something to do with the fact that the LED chips are placed on the side of the unit without a projector. DeAutokey claimed that this effects light dispersion and is fixed by using a projector at the end of the bulb. Hope that sheds some light on the issue.

I have this on my 7.5 Gti and the fucking sensors go off no matter where you mount it unless you use that piece that drops it lower.. but then you can see the hole the mount is coming from.

A lot of the scenes in this game remind me of The Shawshank Redemption too... roof tarring, beers, the librarian guy passing things with books, river of poo, convenient thunderstorms...

You think your pleased now, just wait to you take it to the carwash, this experience will wipe the smile right off your face. Plan on washing by hand everytime. I took my car in for service at the VW dealer and told the assholes not to wash my car, went in for an oil change and wound up at the collision shop with bumper, hood and headlight damage from the plate getting ripped off the car and tangled in the automatic carwash brush wheel.

Hello, it seems LED bulbs have a lower light intensity then the standard bulbs, right? Is there any stroboscopic behaviour when ignition ON? (testing impulses)
